Santa Barbara News-Press
By Brett Leigh Dicks, News-Press Correspondent

The holidays are traditionally a time for celebration. But for Kimberly Klein, there's nothing festive about this time of year.

On Dec. 23, 2007, a small plane carrying three local residents disappeared into a Panamanian jungle. On board were Ms. Klein's daughter, Talia Klein, 13, her ex-husband, Michael Klein, 37, and her daughter's best friend, Francesca Lewis, 12, along with their 23-year-old Panamanian pilot, Edwin Lasso.

Okay, so the marriage had soured, and her now ex-husband wasn’t all she’d thought him to be. Still, they’d had a child together and Kim lived like a queen – at least for a little while, and in spite of her ex’s lies and attempts to get out of paying alimony.

Healing During The Holidays
HealthNewsDigest.com
By Kimberly Klein

(HealthNewsDigest.com) - For many people, the arrival of the holiday season brings with it a mixed bag of emotions: excited, anticipatory, joyous and hopeful feelings, as well as feelings of dread, loneliness, and the wishful thought that the time period between Halloween and New Year’s would just disappear. For whatever reason, everyone deals with the holidays his or her own way. But having a loved one that has passed away throws an entirely new set of emotions into the already crowded mix. Especially when that loved one is your child.
