Conversations with Kim and Kim: The Benefits to Retreats

In this episode of Conversations with Kim and Kim, Kim Isherwood fills us all in about her latest retreat in Spain which was organized by her and two other women, Beth Ryan and Stefanie Monge. The three of them organized a week of yoga, meditations, writing exercises, hikes, social media and business brainstorming sessions. Everyone left relaxed, inspired and refreshed!

The benefits of getting away are immense! Your mind needs time off just as much, if not more, than your body does. Down time gives your mind time to purge old emotions and traumas, but also to process new and fresh ideas. Down time from home and downtime between lectures, classes or workshops are both very necessary. This downtime allows your mind and soul to incorporate the new information and helps bring inspiration and new ideas and understanding. This is what mediation does too, but when away from your regular life, you get a big bump to this purge.
